Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Financial services firm FinTrU has announced plans to create 160 new jobs in Northern Ireland. The company carries out a range of services including financial reporting and legal compliance, for clients such as investment banks. FinTrU has recently moved into larger new offices in south Belfast and is anticipating adding the 160 new staff over a period of five years. The move is being supported by grants of over GBP 1 million (€ 1.16 million) from Invest NI. Around 100 of the new positions will be for graduates and around 60 will be filled by more senior staff.
