Description
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is reported to have started consultation with employees over the proposed closure of its call centre, amid reports that the work will be moved offshore to another location in Europe. The offices, based at Brierley Hill in the Black Country, employ more than 100 staff. The company has not confirmed that the work will be moved abroad, but has released a statement confirming a recent operation change where a new provider in Europe has been engaged in order to improve the services offered to guests.
