Description
American company Amazon is to hire 1,000 permanent staff at the new offices in Bucharest by the end of 2017.
Last year Amazon hired 100 persons in the development center in Iasi, which is Amazon’s first R&D facility in Eastern Europe. The R&D centre in Iasi was opened in 2005 and the company has invested 40 million euro since.
At present Amazon Romania has a total workforce of 700.
Update, 26 June 2017: The officials of the company announced that the space for the new offices (in Bucharest) has been rented and the recruitment process for 1,000 new employees has started.
