Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Magna Steyr, a leading global automotive supplier, established a Slovenian branch in October 2016 and started a greenfield investment in Hoče (Podravska region) which will bring 400 new jobs within one year. Don Walker, the executive director of Magna International, announced a long-term investment in Hoče, starting with the construction of a paintshop. As it is planned, a new plant will fully operate already in 2017 with 400 newly hired workers. The succeeding phases of investments into future automotive factory will create additional 2,650 jobs over next five years.
