Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
IT company OVH is to recruit 200 new staff in 2017 in its French sites in Roubaix (Nord) where 700 employees work in its headquarter is located, Graveline (Nord), Lille (Nord), Brest (Finistère), Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine), Lyon (Rhône), Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) and the Parisian region. The new positions aim at hiring ICT technicians. The group expect 700 recruitments worldwide in 2017 including the 200 job creation in France. Established in 1999, the French company operates 20 data centres as of 2016 and has 1,100 employees worldwide. The group has consistently expanded over the last few years, and has previously announced plans to recruit 290 employees in 2015, 100 employees in 2011, 500 employees in 2012, 150 employees in 2013 and 150 employees in 2014-2015. OVH will employ 1,500 people worldwide by the end of 2017, including 1,100 in France.
