Description
The Post Office is reported to be cutting 427 jobs through its plans to close and franchise a further 37 of its Crown Offices. The decision is part of an ongoing plan to cuts costs across the business. In this latest round, 300 staff and 127 specialist financial roles are understood to be affected. The Communication Workers Union has been highly critical of the plans and had held a five-day strike at Crown Offices prior to Christmas over the issue of branch closures.
