European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The fast food chain McDonald's announced plans to create 100 new jobs in Austria. In more than 80 restaurants an additional two to three employees are hired to attend to customers (Gästebetreuer) and help them with the self-order kiosk or if necessary bring orders to the table. However, it is emphasised that McDonald's will not introduce service at tables in general. Currently, McDonald's operates 196 restaurants in Austria.
