Description
The Czech brown coal mining company Severní Energetická (SE) plans to make some 200 workers redundant in 2017 due to the phase-out of coal mining at the CSA mine by 2024, based on a government decision from 2015 not to break the limits of mining. The dismissed miners will be entitled to compensation of up to CZK 5300 (EUR 196) a month for a maximum period of five years.
