Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German manufacturer of home appliance BSH (Bosch and Siemens Household Appliances) has announced that it will create 1,000 jobs at its two production facilities in Wrocław. BSH has already started a recruitment process and it is looking for engineers, HR, administration and logistic staff and qualified production staff. The company plans to invest in total PLN 500 million (EUR 113.63 million USD 118.43 million) in the factories of ovens and refrigerators. The factories, which formerly belonged to Fagor Mastercook, have been modernised since March 2016 and they are expected to be fully operational in September 2017, but the company has announced that trial production has been already launched and 90 workers have been hired.
BSH has started to operate in Poland in 1994. The company has 4 plants and also back office, R&D, IT and logistics centres.
