Description
Latvian national airline airBaltic is planning to hire 1,000 new employees over a five-year period. The new jobs are part of airBaltic's 'Horizon 2021' business plan.
The company’s recruitment campaign starts with “open door†events for potential applicants for cabin crew, starting from 13 October 2016. By the end of campaign a significant increase in staff level is expected - airBaltic currently employs 1,100 people from almost 30 nations.
airBaltic serves over 60 destinations from its home base in Riga. Its expansion plans also include adding new planes to its fleet. The airBaltic fleet now consists of 24 aircraft – 12 Boeing 737 and 12 Bombardier Q400Next Gen.
airBaltic is a joint stock company that was established in 1995. Its primary shareholder is the Latvian state, which holds 80.05% of the stock, while Ralf-Dieter Montag-Girmes holds around 20% through his fully-owned Aircraft Leasing 1 SIA.Â
