Description

Technology giant Google has announced plans to create 3,000 new jobs in London. Google has continued with its plans to invest in the UK economy despite the vote to leave the EU. Sundar Pichai, Google's Chief Executive, commented that although free movement of labour was a factor in the decision to invest in the UK, the strength of the UK economy was a more important factor than the EU referendum vote, and it is too early to say what the full effects of EU withdrawal will be. Google is currently upgrading their offices in London King's Cross and staff will be moved over to the new premises from 2018. It is not known when the new positions will be advertised.
