Description
Czech IT company Avast Software plans to dismiss around 300 people or 25% of the staff in the Czech Republic in the next few months. Following a recent merging with the rival AVG, the firm has become the world leader in antivirus software.
People who will be made redundant will get severance pay beyond legal requirements and also help in finding a future career.
Globally, Avast is planning to make redundancies of around 700 people worldwide.
