Description
CEMP, Cista energija Mediterana i Panonije, a company that manufactures wind turbines, will invest approximately €16 million in two new factories thus creating 250 new jobs. One factory will be based in Kistanje, and one in Knin in Šibenik-Knin County. Each plant will have its own production programme, while jointly providing service requirements to wind farms in South-Eastern Europe. Production is expected to begin sometime in the first half of 2017. The biggest problem is the lack of qualified labour, which the investor hopes, can be solved with education and training programmes. As the project is realised together with the construction firm Viadukt, there is also a possibility for CEMP to employ some of Viadukt's workers whose job positions are uncertain. CEMP is a part of the Lager Basic group.
