Description
The Swedish producer of poultry meat Kronfågel is to open a new butchery in Kristianstad, Skåne, which will employ approximately 100 individuals. The reason for the expansion is an increased demand for poultry meat in the Swedish market. Kronfågel is investing SEK 250 million (approximately €25 million) in the butchery and €25 million in new stables and facilities for chicken breeding purposes in and around Kristianstad. The new butchery is expected to be fully functional and ready to open by fall 2017.
Kronfågel has currently 650 employees in its production facility in Valla, in Södermanlands County. The company headquarters are located in Stockholm.
