Description
Online bicycle retailer WiggleCRC is planning to cut 313 jobs from its workforce in Northern Ireland. The company was formed earlier in 2016 when Wiggle took over the Northern Irish based Chain Reaction Cycles. The decision to cut 152 full-time and 161 agency roles comes as the company has decided to concentrate the majority of its warehousing and distribution at its Wolverhampton premises. Currently the company operates warehouses in Doagh, Carrickfergus and Ballyclare. Management, IT and sales roles will remain in Northern Ireland and will continue to employ around 275 staff. As of November 2016, the time frame for the job losses has yet to be reported.
