Description
The French hypermarket chain E. Leclerc has announced the recruitment of about 10,000 employees on permanent positions over the next three years. About 85% of these positions are full time. Its CEO explains that the group recruited around 3,000 to 3,100 position per year during the last three years. The CEO announced the investment of €1 billion over the next three years: two-thirds of this amount will aim to develop the logistic chain. The objective is to extend the company's network but also to respond to the shift in the economy towards digitalisation. The e-commerce turnover is expected to increase from the current 6% to 10% of the company's revenue by 2020.
