Description
According to the Finance and Budget Law 2017, the French Ministry of Finance will cut about 1,815 positions. This decision follows other job cuts measures which, according to unions, saw up to 36,000 job cuts since 2012. The job cuts will result only from non replacement of retiring employees. Unions denounce the bad working conditions and the increase of the workload resulting from these job cuts. Unions denounced their opposition to the job cuts in the French tax administration with two demonstrations and said they will organise more industrial action in the coming weeks.
