Description
The leisure shipbuilder Construction Navale de Bordeaux (CNB) , a subsidiary of the group Bénéteau, has announced the recruitment of 100 employees by 2020. Created in 1987, CNB has an annual turnover of EUR 180 million and a workforce of 800 employees. The workforce has increased of 344 employees the last three years. CNB will invest EUR 62 million the next four years: EUR 40 million to create new products and EUR 22 million to extend the production capacity. CNB needs to recruit specialised and qualified employees such as plumbers, cabinet makers, technicians specialised in structural maintenance; but the general manager highlights that there are difficulties to recruit people with the right skills, explaining it has to cope with the aeronautic sector in the regional labour market to attract talents.
