Description

On 12 October 2016, cosmetic and cleaning agent producer Win Cosmetic announced to cut up to 150 jobs at its site at Flörsheim-Dalsheim. About 500 people are working at the affected site at the moment, 400 in production and another 100 in marketing, the personnel department as well as in development and research. The job cuts will affect temporary workers as well as permanent members of staff including managers.

The company wants to restructure and implement its strategy “Agenda 2018”. The job cuts are part of this restructuring programme and are to be realised by the end of 2018.

The management pointed out that they want a close coordination with the works' council to find a socially acceptable solution. Win Cosmetic is a subsidiary of the Dalli, which employs 1,750 staff. Dalli had already cut 98 jobs in 2013 (Dalli, 2012).
