Swedish telecom company Ericsson has initiated employer-employee negotiations in order to cut up to 175 jobs in Finland. The site will closed. The redundancies are part of a greater savings scheme mainly targeting Sweden where 3,000 employees will be made redundant.
As of October 2016, there is no information regarding when the employment effects will be implemented by. The small cell radio network solutions development will be centralized to other Ericsson units.
Ericsson has a total of 116,507 employees world wide and approximately 900 employees in Finland.
