Description

Fujitsu Finland has initiated employer-employee negotiations in order to cut up to 400 jobs. The anticipated redundancies are part of a larger restructuring scheme following the implementation of a new organisational structure which unites Europe, the Middle East and Africa into one administrative region within the company. The restructuring will be implemented step by step during the coming three years.

The ERM has recently reported on redundancies at Fujitsu Finland in May 2016 related to the offshoring of activities to Poland and India.

Updated, 1/12/2016;The first step of the co-determination negotiations have been completed resulting in 124 redundancies. Negotiations concern 320 jobs in total. Redundancies will be carried out manly through other job reduction measures than direct dismissals, such as part-time pensions, non-extension of contracts and so forth. In total, Fujitsu had aimed to cut at least 265 jobs in Finland during 2016. Together with the previous reported outsourcing of 139 jobs inMay 2016 a total of 263 jobs will be cut during 2016.
