Description

On 6 October 2016, clothing store chain Rudolf Wöhrl announced to close 4 out of 34 sites in Germany. Therefore, 146 jobs will be cut in Nuremberg, Munich, Roth and Berlin.

The closure forms part of an ongoing insolvency procedure, which the company is carrying out at the moment. With the aim of attracting international investors, the company is therefore trying to modernise its current network of stores. The affected locations were previously identified as unprofitable by the company.

The affected employees have the possibility to apply for jobs at other sites, but will not receive any preferential treatment. Rudolf Wöhrl currently employs around 2,300 people across 34 sites in Germany.
