Description
Swedish power company Vattenfall has announced the creation of 130 full-time equivalent jobs in its Area Wind business within the next twelve months. Vattenfall is investing EUR 5 billion in the expansion of wind and other renewable energy production. It was reported that "the firm is looking to fill posts in its commercial and technical areas, including project management and site operations".
The main investments are offshore projects like Sandbank in Germany, Aberdeen in UK or Horns Rev 3 in Denmark, as well as the company's first large-scale solar project in connection with an onshore windfarm. Vattenfall's ambition is to expand the wind energy capacity every year by 400 to 600 MW. More than 600 employees are working today in this business.
