European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The parent company of EOS Coach Manufacturing Company located in Bree announced the closure of the manufacturing plant and the dismissal of all of the 161 workers. According to the management, the company has been operating at a loss for the past three years and there were no new orders placed for the second half of 2016. It is foreseen that the production will be moved to Macedonia where the company has opened a production facility and where labour costs are much lower. The company anticipated a social plan which would provide early retirement possibilities.
