Description
On 26 July 2016, the system developers and suppliers of exhaust technology, vehicle heaters and bus air conditioning systems Eberspächer announced plans to cut 150 of 1,350 jobs at its headquarter in Esslingen. Job cuts are due high production costs in Germany. Therefore, the company will relocate the production of auxiliary heaters to its site in Olawa (Poland) till autumn 2017. Already in 2014 the company had announced jobcuts in Neunkirchen (Eberspächer, 2014)
The company made sure that the production of the newest developments will stay in Esslingen and announced plans to create up to 50 jobs on sales and development in return.
The deputy chairman of the works council Fatih Demirkol announced tough negotiations. The management seeks fair negotiations.
