Engineering company Rolls Royce has revised its planned restructure and provided more information about locations of job losses. Worldwide 400 senior management roles are to be cut in 2016, and half of these cuts will be based in the UK. The majority of the 200 UK cuts will come from the company's main site in Derby.
The company believes that reducing the number employed in management will streamline their business structure, resulting in better financial performance for the company. Although the firm has been cutting back on managerial staff, it has continued to add more jobs to the production side of the business so that new orders can be met.
