Description
Dundee based engineering company Galloway Group has called in administrators with the immediate loss of 160 jobs. The company which manufactured ductwork and acoustic enclosures for the oil and gas industry had reportedly been under pressure for some time, following the downturn in that sector. The company had first been established in Dundee in 1872 and had worked on a number of high profile contracts including for the Scottish Parliament building. An unspecified number of employees have been kept on to help with the winding down of the firm.
