Polish manufacturer of machines and devices for the metallurgical industry Zamet Budowa Maszyn has announced that it will cut 120 jobs via collective dismissal programme at its two company’s units. After negotiations with the local trade unions, the board of the company has decided to not shut down the unit in Bytom as it was announced in late June 2016. Instead, it has been negotiated that about 30 jobs will be cut in Bytom and up to 90 in Tarnowskie Góry. Moreover, 23 positions will be relocated from Bytom to Tarnowskie Góry. The programme will be launched in July 2016.
Zamet Budowa Maszyn is a subsidiary of Zamet Industry Capital Group, a producer of large-size steel structures, machinery and equipment for the industry. Currently, the company employs 350 people in both facilities.
