Description

First Contact Group, a provider of call centre support for a number of utility companies, has announced that it is to create 500 new jobs at its call centre in Newburn, near Newcastle Upon Tyne.  The firm relocated to the new premises earlier in 2016 and now requires more staff to meet demand for its services. At present 150 people are employed at the call centre. The 500 new jobs includes the transfer of 300 people who were previously self-employed but contracted by the company, to direct employment. A further 200 positions will be created. Jobs are available at various levels across the company and it is reported that these new positions will be filled by the start of 2017.
