Description
Schletter, German provider of solar mounting systems and traffic engineering, announced plans to cut 300 jobs by the beginning of 2017. According to the company, job cuts have become necessary due to net losses of double-digit millions. Therefore, the company will close its loss-making light metal construction branch. However, the photovoltaic support framework production site in Kirchdorf will continue to remain in place. Executive board and works council are currently negotiating the terms of restructuring. Schletter wants to streamline and optimise processes and reduce the real net output ratio.
Schletter, headquartered in Kirchdorf (Bavaria), currently employs 1,300 staff worldwide.
