Description

Supplier of Lithium-ion battery systems Johnson Matthey Battery Systems has announced that it will create 250 new jobs at its facility in Gliwice, Katowice Special Economic Zone, Poland. The unit in Gliwice is being expanded (production hall, laboratories, office and storage space are being built) and the investment is expected to be completed in August 2016. 

Johnson Matthey Battery Systems is one of the largest European supplier o f Lithium-ion battery systems processing over 70 million cells a year. The company has been operating in Gliwice since 1999; currently, the company employs 500 people. The unit in Gliwice specialises in manufacturing of battery packs for cordless power tolls and electric bikes.
