Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories plans to create 160 new jobs by 2021, at its base in Dungarvan, Co Waterford. Eurofins is expanding its existing laboratory by an additional 4,400 sq metres, as well as building a second laboratory in Dungarvan IDA business park. This site will be at least 1,800 sq metres in size.
The company provides testing services for biopharmaceutical companies. It currently employs 335 people in Waterford, having expanded by 175 jobs since 2011.
Eurofins plans to have to 500 employees by 2021.
