European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Högnäs AB, manufacturer of iron and metal powder, has initiated employer-employee negotiations aiming to cut 100 jobs. The company stated that the reason for the redundancies is an imbalance between low sales volume and increasing costs. Local union leader also stated that he has hopes that the final number of redundancies will be lower than 100 and that alternate solutions will be found.
The ERM has previously reported on redundancies at Högnäs AB in 2008.
