Description
Multinational logistics company DB Schenker is to employ 250 new workers in 2016. The recruitment is associated with the expansion of the Strančice (Czech Republic) distribution centre for the world's leading electronics manufacturer. The centre will be in full operation in September 2016. The company is looking for people to be employed at many administrative, technical and blue-collar positions. The centre will serve customers and vendors from Central and Eastern Europe who will send phones, tablets and other electronics for testing.
In 2015, DB Schenker reported more than a 10% increase in the turnover. The company carried more than one million consignments, up by almost 20%. A further 10% increase is estimated for 2016.
Globally, DB Schenker, the freight logistics subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, employs over 94,600 staff across about 2,000 locations in about 140 countries and now is the biggest freight operator in the UK after buying out English Welsh & Scottish (EWS)
