Description
On 13 May, the commercial court of Meaux approved transport group Dimotrans' proposal to take over Fashionpartner, a transport company that specialises in the transport of textiles and clothes. Fashionpartner reached a turnover of €45 million in 2015 and employs 320 people, however in February of 2016, it was announced that the company would go into receivership. As part of the take over, Dimotrans will retain over 200 of Fashionpartner's current employees meaning that approximately 120 employees wil be dismissed. The Dimotrans group achieved a turnover of €250 million in 2015 and is in the process of expanding its activities into the fashion and luxury sectors. The group also acquired LTI in 2013, a former subsidiary of the now defunct Mory group, which specialises in the transport of clothes.
