Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Norwegian hotel chain, Nordic Choice Hotels is to open 10 new hotels in Finland during the next 3.5 years. Two new Clarion hotels, one in Jätkääsari, Helsinki and one at Helsinki airport will be finished in October 2016 why Nordic Choice Hotels is looking to recruit 230 new employees. The company is to hold a large recruitment event in Helsinki on the 9th of May 2016 anticipating around 600 applicants for the 230 available job positions. The goal is that the two new hotels will make a profit during their first year of operation. Nordic Choice Hotels anticipates a turnover of €30 million during the first year of operation.
Noridic Choice Hotels have previously not had activities in Finland and the company is investing €150-200 million in Finland during the next 3.5 years. Each hotel will have a staff of approximately 80-100 employees.
