Description

Swedish furniture retail chain Ikea is to open new stores in Italy, at first in Cagliari (Sardinia) and Rome (Lazio), envisaging 1,000 new hirings by the end of 2018.

The company's turnover in Italy increased by 5.5% in 2015 in Italy and the net profit reached about €10 million. This positive performance on the Italian market triggered the decision to increase the number of stores in Italy. In addition, the company will introduce 'pick up points' in city centres for goods ordered online, thus saving on shipping costs.
