The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
TK Maxx, subsidiary of the American department store chain TJX Companies, creates 250 new jobs by opening a new store in Munich. With a surface of 5,000 square metres the new store is the company's biggest store throughout Europe.
TK Maxx, offering apparel and shoes, as well as other items such as toys, bath and beauty, accessories, and home products, runs 93 stores in Germany and 400 stores in Europe.
TJX Companies, headquartered in Framingham (Massachusetts), currently employs 155,000 worldwide.
