Description

The international high-technology group Safran, which specialises in aerospace, defence and security, announced its intention to recruit 2,000 employees in France in 2016, leading to a net increase of 500 jobs. Safran will recruit about 900 engineers and 1,100 qualified workers and technicians in order to increase its production of civil aircraft motors.  Taking into account natural departures and departures in retirement (about 1,000 per year) the total net of job creation is estimated to be 500, according to Jean-Luc Bérard, the HR Director of Safran. In 2015, according to Jean-Luc Bérard, Safran recruited 2,500 employees in France (700 net creation in total). In 2014, Safran announced the hiring of 3,000 employees in France. Safran employs 70,000 people worldwide.
