Description
XXXLutz, an Austrian furniture store chain, creates 200 new jobs due to the construction of a new furniture store in Villingen (Baden- Wuerttemberg). The construction will begin on 15 March 2016 and the opening is planned for summer 2017. With a surface of 27,000 square metres the new store is the 38th store owned by the Austrian furniture store chain.
The company was planning to construct a new store since 2007. The project was however subject to delays due to issues with authorities and residents.
XXXLutz, headquartered in Wels (Austria) currently employs around 18,500 employees. The company has recently been criticised due to almost 100 sudden job cuts at its site in Mannheim (Germany) at the beginning of February 2016.
