Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Technical consultancy firm Rejlers Sweden AB is to cut 125 jobs following reduced demand from the nuclear, manufacturing and mining industries. Employer-employee negotiations will begin next week. Rejlers have struggled with profitability problems for a long time and the termination of 125 employees is seen as necessary in order to strengthen the company. Employees within the 'Technology' business sector of Rejlers will be affected by the employer-employee negotiations.
