Description

The company Canicula, producer of fish products, has opened its new factory and employs 130 workers. The new plant is in the village Muc, in Dalmatian Zagora close to the City of Sinj. The company prepares high quality fish products for the international market. The Croatian subsidiary was founded in 2011 in Split, and the business activities were carried out in Tribunj and Milna on Brac island . As these business conditions were inappropriate for increasing production, primarily because of the lack of labour force, the company decided to move to Dalmatian Zagora. Thus, in early 2016, the company opens its new factory in the industrial zone in Prisike Muc and employs 130 workers, mostly women.

Experts have stated that the fish processing sector in Croatia, compared to the overall capabilities, still accounts for a relatively small number of producers.
