Description
IKEA has opened a new large store in Hasselt, creating at least 300 new jobs. The new establishment, with a surface of 39,000 square metres, is the largest in Belgium. It is equipped with a fully automatic warehouse, with conveyer belts replenishing the stocks at different places in the shop. Customer transport has been facilitated with a bus line from the centre of Hasselt to the Ikea store. Moreover, a large bicycle station and electric charging points for electric cars and bicycles have been provided.
