Description

Barclays bank has announced that it is to create 300 new jobs at its contact centre in Liverpool. The new roles follow a GBP 15 million (€19.7 million) investment in customer service. Some of the new roles are in the company's new video banking service, which allows customers to speak face-to-face with advisers via computer or smartphone. The roles will be filled by internal promotion as well as by bringing in new staff. The timescale for the new jobs has not been reported.
