Description

Door manufacturer Leaderflush Shapland has made redundancies at two sites in the East Midlands following the closure of the company. Redundancy notices were issued on New Year's Eve. The parent company, Laidlaw Interiors Group, entered administration just before Christmas 2015.  It is understood that 394 of the 426 employees have been made redundant with 32 staff kept on to help with the closure of the operations. Around 300 jobs were lost from the Langley Mill site in Derbyshire and 77 jobs from the Mansfield site in Nottinghamshire. The company operates an office in Barnstaple, Devon which is also understood to be closing. The final timetable for winding up the business has yet to be announced by the administrators Deloitte.
