Description

165 jobs are to be lost at the Wylfa nuclear power station on Anglesey in North Wales.  The plant will no longer be involved in the production of energy and will switch to defueling. Magnox, the owners of the plant, have confirmed that fewer staff will be required for the new tasks which will be carried out on the site. The job losses mean that the workforce will reduce from 522 to 357 by May 2016. Magnox has confirmed that it will seek to make voluntary redundancies wherever possible.
