European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The customer support service company Sitel will open a new office in Porto and create 500 new jobs. There are several areas of recruitment: customer support; operations managers; supervisors; areas of training and quality; human resources; administration and finance.
The new centre had an investment of 3 million Euro and had the support of the Municipality of Porto.
Sitel is present in 21 countries but operates in more than 62 markets and offers services in 40 languages.
The company employs 1,200 persons in Portugal and has three communication centres (two in Lisbon and the third in Porto).
