Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
UTC Aerospace Systems, a supplier of aerospace and defence technologies, announced that it will create over 100 new jobs at its facility in Wrocław during 2016. The company plans to invest USD 10mn ( EUR 10.90mn) in the expansion of the plant.
The facility will produce subassemblies, including flight steering and flight control devices, for Airbus Helicopters. The products will be directly supplied to the factories of Airbus Helicopters in Marignane, France. UTC Aerospace Systems was established in 2012 by combining two companies: Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich.
The company is part of United Technologies Corporation (UTC). The factory in Wrocław employs about 1,000 people.
