Drägerwerk, a German medical and security electronics manufacturer, will cut 200 out of 5,000 jobs at its headquarter in Lübeck by the end of 2016. According to the company, the restructuring is due to the company's weak performance in Brazil, the US and China. The job cuts will not affect employees working in the production or logistics units of the company.

The company was founded in 1889 and currently employes 13,500 staff across 190 countries. A total of 5,000 employees work at the company's headquarter in Lübeck.
