Description
Germany-based discount retailer Lidl has announced plans to expand its business in the Czech Republic and create up 1,500 new jobs in the next three years. The firm envisages modernization, construction and development of new warehouse space with an investment of CZK 9 billion (EUR 333 million). The first store in Lidl's new roll-out of services in the Czech Republic was opened in early December in the city of Beroun.
Lidl entered the Czech market in 2003 and currently employs 6,654 people in 230 stores.
